Hi

The tumor is an enlarging hypodense lesion in the left hemi pelvis differential diagnosis the left hemi pelvis posteriorly just medial to the post acetubulum, there is a 1.8 x 1.87 cm hypertensive lesion which previously measured 1.5

It didn’t grow but it didn’t shrink.

Thank you

Ok thanks gloriamazz. So from this description it sounds like the lesion is in the pelvic bone itself - is this correct? If this is the case then it may not respond to chemo as well as an organ with very good blood supply might, though radiation might normally be more effective. Perhaps others will have had some experience with this that they can help you with.

Have you had a PET scan either before or after treatment to confirm the metabolic activity level of the lesion?

Hi there Gloriamazz,
I will concur with Rock_Robster - if the met is a bone met, then my understanding is that chemo won't have a very big effect on it. Radiation - such as SBRT - seems to be more effective.
Wife of Dx 04/2018 (51 yo). MSS, KRAS mutated G12A
No primary, lytic tumor L4 vertebrae, CEA 10
Radiation 04/2018
Resection small intestine 05/18 (no cancer found - Crohn's)
Xelox * 6, 05/2018 to 10/2018
6.7 cm left adrenal mass 03/14/2019, 4.4 cm 05/21, 4.1 cm 09/16
SBRT L4 02/2019
Folfiri + Avastin
CEA since 03/15: 58, then low of 3.2 now 6.9
Scan 03/14: Multiple small lung nodules
Scan 05/21: shrinking
Scan 09/16: lungs show no abnormalities (YAY!!!)
