Question about deleting posts

Postby Rock_Robster » Wed Aug 21, 2019 7:57 am

Am I right in thinking we can’t delete our own posts? I might just be missing it, but I see a lot of “deleted post” comments (because of course we can still edit), which makes me think it’s not just me. I’m on another forum using the same platform which makes me think it must be a deliberate choice rather than a software limitation, however I’ve checked the rules and can’t see anything about it.

My most common reason for wanting to delete my own post is to convert it into a reply, or maybe occasionally to move to a different topic.

Thanks
Rob

Actually removing the post from the forum is a housekeeping operation for Mods etc.
Members, as you mention can edit out the content of their own posts
but not directly delete them from forum.

Cheers
