jpouch rectal pains

Getting close to 3 years NED (end of this year.) I've been doing great. I go through spells with frequency when I try and be healthier. I fell off the wagon with a super healthy diet for a while and then when I move back to a high fiber diet I get a lot of frequency and recently had a few boughts of frequency that led to rectal pain. The bowel movements have returned to normal in frequency etc, but the dull rectal pain has been pretty bad for a few days. I used some hemorrhoid cream which helped but this morning it hurts again after a harder stool. I had it checked when I had this issue about 6 months ago and everything was fine. I am due a colonoscopy in 3 months but debating if I should get this checked out now or just wait. My gut is thinking it is hemorrhoids and inflammation at the scar tissue, but still always worried about these things. No blood or anything.

Anyone have similar things with their jpouch years in? Thanks!

I had a lot of pain post surgery, etc that lasted for years. I had an adhesion that took about 3 years to go away - with a great deal of diligence on my part. Just recently getting to the point where I can sit for extended periods of time without pain - almost 7 years out.

All I can say is to stick with it and notice if you have pain at other times and how long the pain lasts. I used to have a threshold and when I hit it I needed to lay down and let my ass rest. Sometimes it wad a whole day. Hope you have better luck.

I don't have a jpouch but I do have some aches when sitting for a very long time.

I'm in my home office right now and the chair has the thick cushion with the cutout at the back that I used when I had radiation. A specialized cushion could make life a little easier if you need to sit at home a lot of drive long distances.
