Stage IIIb, T4 tissue invasion. 12 yrs ago.

I begin by communicating my honor and respect for those who are engaged in the cancer battle. It is a tough road no matter if you are patient, caregiver, or just someone involved. I lived through that battle which was the roughest of my life. And it was rough on my wife and family.

But I am posting today to maybe send a ray of hope and encouragement to those in the midst of the battle. There are good outcomes for some. One of those good outcomes was mine. And as science and medicine progress the rate of those good outcomes is increasing. I see lots of new member names here. And those "new" members have more treatments and a better chance for a good outcome than "my group" did back in year 2007.

I have been NED for 12 years now. I am thankful for each day since that NED diagnosis. And I hope you can be lucky or blessed to achieve a similar good outcome as I received. My prayers are that you will.

It is indeed encouraging to hear these stories. My husband was also a t4 and he is almost 9 years out from DX. He had surgery, followed by 6 months of folfox and has been NED ever since. It is a very rough road and looking back I really don't know how I held it together and made it through. I guess I did it for my husband and two sons, and had a lot of help from The Good Lord.

So happy to hear of you success in beating you cancer.

Great to see you back on here . Delighted everything is going well for you .
Treatment has changed so much over the last decade !! Be good to see that reflected in the stats .
