Hi,
This has been a whirlwind process for me. Having a colonoscopy in May and then colon resection the following week. Surgeon was unable to complete laparoscopically, so I had a 6 week recovery. I started chemo during week 4 of my recovery and have started my second treatment of FOLFOX yesterday. I have been reading many posts on here and thought I share my situation, which will hopefully be both informative and cathartic.
I was informed that the doctor would probably want to put me on Neulasta because my Gran# was 1.4. I wanted to have some questions regarding options, or if that is the norm then so be it.
I have had mild neuropathy in my finger tips, but a few days ago I went to turn to get something on a table behind me, and I felt the static shock feeling radiate up my right arm. Nothing was cold or hot, it was just the motion. I have my port on my right side, so the nurse thought it might be that. They noted it in my file.
Yesterday, I had my right hand freeze. Not the pins and needles/static shock neuropathy, but I couldn't move my thumb to close my hand and the other fingers were stiff but I could move them. Last night, it happened to my left hand briefly. Any thoughts?
Thank you. This has been a surreal experience. It all just feels like a bad dream..
