You might ask about duodenal ulcer. There is a remote possibility that you have a bleeding ulcer triggered by a bad H. pylori infection.

The only reason I mention this is because this is exactly what happened to me: a dual diagnosis of CRC and bleeding duodenal ulcer.

I'm still alive!!

Still have bleeding but I guess my labs are stable. Waiting to hear about my CT results. That will also show if the met in my liver has shrunk!

Bored. Tired. Hangry. I'm npo and not happy about it.

I assume my oncologist will swing by at some point. Until then I'm watching garbage tv and playing candy crush.

Thanks for all the good wishes, they are appreciated!

Sigh.

I got that news myself the other day. I know that no progression is good news but it didn't feel that way to me. I'm sure that's probably how you feel now.

I will say that my largest tumors eventually calcified so there's no way of knowing if your tumors are still alive or dead at this point, the CT scan won't reveal that quite yet. So try to stay positive...

Thanks Gina! That's pretty much exactly how I feel. No progression is great and I have 2 more cycles before I was even supposed to look at it. But I was really hoping for a "hey, that thing is significantly smaller!"

Currently, the entire hospital computer system is down. They can't even order me a Tylenol for this wicked headache.

I'm looking for a mulligan today.

Hoping they find the cause and it's an easy fix.

Remind me, are you resectable now?

My largest met is 5 cm, and the surgeon is talking to me about resection, albeit in two procedures vs one. I think you said your largest was 4.7 cm, so it makes me think that you might also be a candidate for surgery at this point (even if the goal initially was to shrink things down with chemo before going down that path)?

It grew during my pregnancy, I'd have to look in mychart to see the size it was after I had Nicholas. Resection has always been on the table, I think they just wanted to see if they could get it smaller. My met is in segment 6 or 7so it's in a good spot.

In other news, the f'ing computer system is still down. Wtf. Nothing can done and I'll be lucky if I even get my scope today!

Like others above I wonder if that's caused by Avastin? Hopefully nothing *too* serious!

There is a hypoenhancing heterogeneous mass within segments 6
and 7 measuring approximately 4.4 x 6.4 x 7.1 cm. This has increased
in size since the prior MRI on 10/29/2018.

That's my liver met. That was from April's CT, the report from yesterday isn't in mychart yet.

No colonoscopy today, so I'm an overnight guest again.

I forgot to add: it wouldn't surprise me if this is all Avastin's fault!!

That's good news. Mine are big, all over, and inconveniently located near veins!

Also did you ever talk to your oncologist about Vectibix? It is supposed to have better outcomes than Avastin for certain types of colon cancer. It is a bitch with the rash, but I think it must have really done a number on my mets.
