So, to add insult to injury.... I'm currently drinking the most disgusting bowel prep drink for tomorrow's colonoscopy. :x

It tastes like nasty salt water, but they did finally change my diet to clear liquids. That was the best jello I've ever had. I've been npo since Tuesday night!

Still bleeding but not as bad. No labs drawn recently. I want a shower but there isn't one in this room.

0900 is when my scope is scheduled. I have to drink this nasty crap now and again at 0400.. Wish me luck!!

It's not miralax but something else. I can't remember what they called it. So gross.

My bathroom is tiny, idk how I'm supposed to be in there with my iv pole. There's not room for both of us and I'm not about to leave the door open when this garbage drink starts to work!

What  ??? Don't you know you are suppose to leave any modesty you may have at the front door as you enter the hospital. This was a few years back, butt a women who was active a few yrs back, went to the airport, security nab her, she had to go into a special room and take off her colostomy bag to "prove" there was no dynamite on her body. She was offended, butt I decided after that, I would go with the flow. Guess she had out put when TSA was looking at stoma. I believe the word is revenge  Afterwards some TSA told her it was not necessary to prove that was a real stoma  As if she had any control  . again if it happened to me I would warn them I have no control  Thanks to advancement, today,I wipe my hand across bag, than they wave wand across my hand or wipe my hand and put wipe in special machine.

Not along after 9-11, my kid had water bottles, we all had to drink it to prove it was safe. I remember one TSA rolling her eyes. I said, look you get us safe to our destination, yes my kids and I will drink this water, believe me I know it is safe.

Again, good luck tomorrow,

Lee

So riddle me this... why are all the gentlemen that will be exploring my colon so handsome? I swear everyone I've had to describe my bloody backside to has been a tall drink of water.

It's a good thing I'm old, ugly and happily married.

Still on track for 0900 scope. Bowel prep went well, everything is almost to that clear stage that they want. Here's to hoping that all goes well!

They found nothing.

My hemoglobin has dropped from 11.3 when I got here to 9.7 the last time they drew labs. I don't think they are letting me go home today.

In better news, I GET TO EAT!!!! Today is Friday, I've had nothing to eat since Tuesday. Well, they did let me have a jello but I'm not really sure that counts. I have chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, a roll and a cookie coming.

I'm really excited about that cookie.

I have been following your posts to the ER...so happy that they found nothing. You are an amazing person! Even during a stressful time, you manage to be light hearted and make me laugh. You take everything in stride, which is the total opposite of me. Enjoy that cookie! You deserve it!

Yall.... that cookie was divine. The roasted vegetables were on point too.

As for my attitude, wtf else am I going to do? If it is to be, it is up to me. My life is wonderful, there are people in the world that wish they had my problems. Also, Nicholas rolled over today!! He just turned 3 months old on the 15th!!

So yeah. Here I sit waiting to see if I'm still bleeding. To waste time I'm binge watching garbage tv. It's not so bad.

As a mom / stepmom of four, I have to say that I did find SOME benefits of being constricted to a hospital bed... ; )

And you're right. I was pretty down the other day and asked my husband, can I really do this for another 10+ months??

And he asked me, "Well, is there another choice?" He's right of course. And I have a life worth living for, so I will do what it takes.

My mother in law just sent me a text that said:

One day you will tell your story of how you've overcome what you're going through now, and it will become part of someone else's survival guide.

Still passing blood, they best not delay my chemo on Monday or I'm going to be pissed. However, I'm realistic and until they locate the source, I'm not going anywhere.
