13 th cancer birthday today

Postby helen098 » Thu Jun 06, 2019 9:12 pm

13 years what more can I say
It been a long strange journey
Overall more ups than downs

I know many people outside of the club
Think it’s strange to remember/celebrate
This is not a problem as I try not to care about what others think

Even though I am not here every day
All of you are always in my heart

Thanks for all of the support and love

Hope to be around celebrating
For a long time

For those of you still fighting remember you are not alone

Thanks for checking in and sharing the good news. It's not very often that we hear from people who were diagnosed around the time when Colon Club started up.

And it has been a while now since I've seen a "swinging chickens" post here. When I first found this forum there were swinging chickens, and feathers flying around quite frequently, and I couldn't understand what was going on. Eventually I figured it out, though, but it took a while...

By the way, did you ever meet in person any of the original Colon Club members from NewYork like SkiFletch, Molly, etc?

Take care.

I found the club about a year after my diagnose
I was looking for info about anal fistula and colon cancer
I was feeling better but the neuropathy was not getting better and I was looking
For a connection between the anal fistula and colon cancer

We was supposed as to how much better it felt to be able to talk to others who
Knew what it was like

Has anyone been able to figure out why the colon cancer people are such
Great people?
It can’t just be the cancer as I have met other cancer people who were and are jerks
They were jerks before the cancer so I am not being mean

I guess it’s a mystery
