LONG OVERDUE UPDATE

Postby CLD » Wed Jun 05, 2019 7:53 am

Its been awhile since I have posted. Life with 6 kids keeps us busy. The last few times I posted was to share that my DH cancer spread to his lymph nodes. We visited The Hillman Center, did chemo( FOLFIRI + Avastin) then doctors decided to do radiation instead of surgery. Radiation lasted a month and ended before Christmas. DH was scanned shortly after Christmas and a VATS procedure confirmed that there were innumerable mets in his lungs. So, after another surgery to replace a broken port, my DH is now on chemo for the rest of his life, however long that may be. He wa recently hospitalized with what ended up being a simple cold, but he coughed so hard he passed out. He is still trying to work, and when he is not working he mostly sleeps. Its hard to hear him when he talks. What else can I say. I hate cancer.

I've posted this on another thread, but with the research that's going on right now, there's always hope that a new cure will be found! Wishing you strength for the journey ahead XXXXX

When someone mostly sleeps when they are not trying to work they deserve to retire. It will be easier for him and he deserves it after all those struggles.
