Good news from Stage 4 dad after a year and half

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to give some updates about my dad since it would give some hope to those undergoing this disease.
My father was diagnosed in Nov 2017 with Stage 4 colon cancer with liver mets. He has undergone surgery, chemo, had new lesions, had IMRT, chemo again + Altuzan and thankfully he is NED since January and now on monthly blood check only.
He had lost some weight, had some neuropathy but never ceased working, gardening and visiting the mosque, I believe those kept his sprits up.
We know that it is not "cured" and likely to come back at some point but we are thankful for the time we gained, and living one day at a time.
Sending my best wishes from Turkey to everyone in the forum. I am praying for a cure that will work for everyone fighting with cancer.

Oh that is such good news! Thanks for letting us know. I hope your dad doesn't have a reoccurrence, and has smooth sailing from now on.

I needed something positive to embrace. I am so happy for your dad and smooth sailing treatments.
I start my chemo tomorrow Folfax and another comes home with me for 36 hours.
Diagnosed July 2018 with CRC
Lar Aug 2018 barbie butt removed rectum, sigmoid colon, anus said all margins clear
Feb told every thing fine.
March felt pain had cat scan found hyper dense tumor on pelvis
Had lung cat scan 4 tumors 2 new, I doubled in size last one 1 stayed same
Monday, June 10 First chemo
