Ahhh...read the Forbes article...it looks like the "studies" proving the link to cancer may be very flawed.

No good news for us. But now 2 California juries have found Monsanto/Bayer at fault.
Us Baby-Boomers have been exposed to many chemicals. Who knew /knows of the effects after years go by?

Sad to say, it is always follow the money and the true science. I tend to believe epidemiological studies, as that is as good of data we currently have. Cause and effect are hard to pin down.

I asked my Onc why I got cancer; his reply: Bad Luck.
I avoid chemicals and eat better, but without knowing the cause, it is impossible to react perfectly.
I will exercise more as the Chemo is concluded. Exercise is associated with lower cancer rates.

Cured, do you understand that often such decisions by jury contradict established scientific facts?
I prefer one meta-study article in a mainstream peer reviewed journal over 10 decisions of US juries.
58 yo male at diagnosis: T1bN0M0, 0/15 nodes, low grade/moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma
03/2016 colonoscopy: 2 small polyps removed in left colon; CEA = 1.3
04/2016 colonoscopy: caecum sessile 3.5 cm polyp piecemeal removed with kind of clear margins
05/2016 "prophylactic" laparoscopic right hemicolectomy - bleeding, leak, infection
06/2017 CT scan, colonoscopy OK; CEA = 1.6
A lot of funny stuff discovered by CT scans in liver, kidney, lungs, arteries, gallbladder, lymph node, pancreas

As a lawyer (for 22 years) I have to agree with UTwo. Juries find what they want to find. "Get the bad guy" often trumps rational logical consideration of facts presented. It is actually quite common. Jury decisions are generally not decisive or instructive.

The thing is though I have a nagging doubt about so much pesticide use getting into the food chain . So much genetic modification on the go I guess the full extent of the implications on diet is unknown . I was explaining to my kids that grapes used to have seeds !! So much has changed .
I never heard of a young person getting Bowel cancer twenty years ago . I do think something has changed because the numbers have shot up .

I get the whole jury / evidence thing though .

I think the China Study by Dr. Campbell studies/ explains the changes you are referring to.

Thank you so much for that Henry . I will purchase that .

My niece had indulged a bit and we chatted about a healthier diet . She has taken it fully on board and is now challenging my eating habits . Whilst finding it all slightly amusing I am in return being challenged too!!

I will read it over Easter ,
