Scan-time

Postby brokenwings » Mon Mar 18, 2019 8:18 am

Dear friends,

Scan-time is here.

Thank God I had a mid-chemo CT scan that was sort of positive (nothing in lungs nor in liver, lymph nodes looking ok, peritoneal disease looking stable, CEA slightly down).

Now, after 4 rounds of bad-ass Folfirinox, I have another CT scan and a PET scan.

This morning I was feeling so anxious that I had to take a "happy pill" to get me through the CT. (I might take another one before my PET scan this afternoon).

So... what can I say? Stupid peritoneal carcinomatosis doesn't usually respond very well to systemic chemo, so I know I won't have a terrific response nor a miraculous shrinkage... Let's just hope it shrinks enough to get me to the OR...

Please send me good thoughts and prayers, they're very much needed

Hugs,

Paola

THANKS A LOT!!

I read your messages between scans and I felt so comforted ♡

It's really hard indeed. Psychologically is a terrible ordeal.

Now it's done and I have to wait until Wednesday to see my doctor and have the results.

Keep your fingers crossed and sending positive thoughts please!

@Koreysue: keep us posted! I hope everything goes fine.

Big hugs,
Paola
