Welcome, and sorry for the reason you are here.
That is certainly not the largest polyp that has been found in this group, but it is large. Definitely read through anything that looks relevant on this forum and learn; there is a lot to know, and waiting on tests to find out what is going on is rough. We have all been there and know what you are going through.
My tumor was 7.5cm. My signature has the specifics, and I started a thread with my treatment and side effect specifics, as well; check my posts for details. If it can't be removed in a colonoscopy you will need surgery to remove it. My surgery was laparoscopic and wasn't hard on me, but I was otherwise quite healthy. If you do need surgery you'll learn more about what happens next after surgery is complete. Look for a board-certified colorectal surgeon, ideally at a major cancer center. Ask questions and make sure you get CEA and any other informative bloodwork done BEFORE surgery.
