Today and yesterday I’ve been having anal pain (stinging) and bleeding after having or (trying) to have a movement. I’m Home from school again today bc I woke up with cramps in my stomach and under my ribs, I’m ready for answers :/

I hope you get some answers today.

For what it is worth, I had no pain. Many years ago, my mother ended up in the ER, serious rectal bleeding and stomach pain. They did a colonoscopy, no cancer, just a bad case of diverticulosis, me no pain, just bleeding hemorrhoids. All test that should have been a warning flag for cancer came back negative or normal. My primary doctor figured my hemorrhoids were my excuse for getting my baseline early in life.

Do follow up, butt try to stay calm.

My cat scan came back normal and I saw the specialist and I’ve been put on miralax twice a day and a healthy diet, I still have doubts and anxieties but over all I guess I’m not freaking out as much because my cat was apparently normal

Thanks for the follow up. Try to relax the anxieties but continue to be aware and advocate for yourself. I have a friend whose daughter was dx’d with ulcerative colitis at 16. So it is possible to have serious conditions at your age. Best of luck to you.

Thank you, and as for me advocating for myself Idk what to do at this point I don’t get answers everytime I see a doctor which has been probably 6+ times and I can tell my parents are tired of me thinking there’s something wrong when doctors keep suggesting other wise, I have blood work to do next week but Idk what it is or will be testing for

Most primary care physicians aren’t really qualified to diagnose this either. Just saying...

If you’re still having deabilitating symptoms a colonoscopy is warranted- especially if there was non-hennoroidal blood. Don’t worry about cancer, it’s exceedingly unlikely at your age. Try to find a good GI doctor that can help you rule out potential causes: inflammatory bowel diseases, irritable bowel syndromes, things like celiac disease, and put you at ease about cancer (again very unlikely), etc.

Best of luck.
