To register, you first have to agree to the Terms of Service, then all you need is a valid username, a valid e-mail address, a valid password, your time zone, and finally you must answer the CAPTCHA security question in English.

You don't need a Facebook name or any of the other optional profile items, only a username that has not been used before, and the other required items mentioned above.

Once you have successfully registered you will have access to your User Control Panel (UCP) each time you log in. In your UCP you can customize your settings.

Of course, to post a message, or to read your private messages (PMs) you have to first log in with your own username and password. if you don't log in then you are accessing the board as Guest with no posting privileges and no PM privileges.
