I asked about live liver transplants (CC had done one) and he didn't exactly jump on that either. No mention at all of a pump being something that could get me to operable - and clearly he believed at that point it was questionable i ever could be given the size of my mets.
His general attitude was, "we will try to keep you alive for two years and then hope medicine has a better option by then."
Definitely walked out of there feeling like I wasn't getting anything there that I hadn't heard at NW. Ultimately his reco'd line of treatment was exactly the same as the fourth and final oncologist with whom I started to work - my second try at NW - but it's been a world of difference working with a doctor who has hope.
