New member Hemicolectomy question

Postby darkmasteruk » Sat Jan 26, 2019 3:55 pm

Hey,
Due to have a hemicolo op in the next few weeks, feeling really concerned about it. It is meant to be lapriscopic, but the things i read say that one of the holes in enlarged to get it out? Is this true? No appointment with surgeon for over a week and this has me worried!

Welcome...I had a right hemicolectomy, which was performed laposcopic. I had two small holes and a 1 1/2 to 2 inch incision above my belly button. So, if you are talking about the incision, you are correct. This was performed 2 years ago and you can barely see the scar.
