Great News! Did you move him or are you still at Inspira?

Still in Inspira I think after this test we will be taking him to MD Anderson. My mom wanted to have him transferred on Friday but being as stubborn as he is he didn’t want to. So we’re hoping that after this test tomorrow he’s discharged and we can take him to see Dr McClane. I have to follow up with the Nurses tonight to see if there was any lymph node involvement they haven’t mentioned it yet so I’m not sure.

Good....even if he wants to stay at Inspira, I would still get a second opinion. Please remember one important thing ..... your surgeon plays the critical part of surviving cancer. I was suppose to go to Inspira when I was diagnosed, but my GI doctor, recommended that I go elsewhere. I am glad I did!

We recieved some very good news today that my dads cancer has not reached his lymph nodes and hasn’t effected his rectal wall. He will be having surgery sometime this week to remove the tumor.

My dad had successful surgery today to remove the tumor they said it was isolated to one area in the colon. He may need some mop up chemo to remove anything left behind but Drs said it couldn’t of went any better. Thanks everyone.

That is great news! Colon cancer is very much curable these days and you will be in good hands at MD Anderson.

Great news. But be leery. Pathology may be a surprise. CT scans are not accurate. Hoping all is a ok. I was stage 3c and after chemo it spread. Stage 4. It’s a big crap shoot. I wish him the best of luck.
