I have been excepted into the TIL trial at NCI but recieved word that they are sending my cells into production for the TCR trial. They feel this might be my better option. Has anyone had experience with this trial? I'm having a hard time finding info on it.
Thanks
Teri

TCR stands for "T Cell Receptor". You might have better luck finding info on it if you use the full-length keywords in your search. Additionally, if you are only interested in TCR therapy for lung cancer, then it might help to add "lung cancer" to the search string. Also you could add "clinical trial" to the search string.

If you do all of this, then you will find clinical trials such as NCT02133196:

T Cell Receptor Immunotherapy for Patients With Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02133196

A brief description of the trial is found on the web page above. If you want more detailed information than that, then you can try contacting the study coordinator at the e-mail or phone number given on the NCT02133196 contacts page:

Contacts
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/study/NCT02133196#contacts

. . .

There may also be some information on TCR therapy on prior posts here, for example the post below, where it is suggested that it may take up to 5 months for them to prepare enough TCR cells for your TCR therapy:

Thank you. Ive asked the fellow at NCI who is working with me but she is an extremely poor correspondent. Shes supposed to call me in a couple days to discuss my latest scans but I like to be ahead of the game and have some info to know what to ask.

Hi Teri3 - I believe this is the new TIL trial. NCT03412877 Im not sure. We were offered this new trial after we were accepted into the original TIL trial NCT01174121.

Thank you sdino! I think you are right, as you know our fellow is a poor correspondent. When does your wife start? They are supposed to be sending my cells to lab end of the month and have a meeting some time this week

Hi Teri3 - we have heard crickets from our Fellow. Last week sent CT scan we had in Buffalo and requested an update. This week sent a email asking if we should or not halt chemo for next week, since we have to mail order our Capecitabine which takes several days. Have not heard back from NIH. Last schedule we heard was TIL infusion somewhere mid-March. (Not sure)

Well we heard back from NIH today, They want my Wife to start next round of Capecitabine (but they may stop it after only one week) they want her to hold off on Bevacizumab (Avastin) next week, So we have to be getting closer to TIL Infusion. No formal schedule has been determined as of yet.
