Anastomosis Breakdown?

Hi all - past few scans post LAR and Ileo reversal shows some gas/fluid collecting around the area of the connection (fistula?). Scans show that its getting bigger, but have no symptoms and dr. said to just monitor. If infection we will treat with antibiotics as first step. Its not clear if there is a leak or not but they are inferring it from what they can see via scans. Wondering if anyone has had this issue...keep thinking its a bit of a time bomb waiting to cause problems, but so far so good. Also, doing daily enemas to keep LARS at bay with good results overall.

Any perspective/input would be appreciated!

Does the doctor think the enemas could be causing the issue? Also, can they see anything via exam or scope in the office? I know my surgeon does an endoscope every visit to be sure everything looks good. I also do daily enemas. My anastomosis is prob 2-3 cm from the anal verge, that is why I ask if he can see anything during your followup visits depending where your anastomosis is. I would think you would have symptoms if you were leaking.
