It was on Dec. 28, 2017 that my son informed me that he had colon cancer. Now, nearly a year later, after surgery and 12 rounds of chemo, he is doing very well. A year ago I was terrified. I know he is not out of the woods yet, but it is so good to see him without the chemo side effects, and with his good appetite, color and energy back. I pray this continues for him. I hope one day that I can write here that he is CURED.
I know that many of you are just starting on your journey. Some of you are watching your loved ones slip away. Many of you are NED and have been for years--that is fantastic! It's never easy fighting this battle, not for the patient nor their loved ones. I hope it gives you some small encouragement to know that I pray twice daily for my son and include all of you here on this forum and will continue to do so. Many others are praying too. Hold onto hope, keep fighting, keep the faith! I wish you all love, peace and happiness during this holy season.
