And now that I know I won't have it, I'm sort of terrified - but I know part of the issue is that chemo gives a false sense of confidence that you're at least doing something. I just have to keep reminding myself that the confidence is false.
Rock_Robster wrote:Ginabewell, this is super interesting, and particularly for me as I also had a positive RA test before I was diagnosed with CRC. I was having joint pain in my hands (which turned out to be tendonitis from the gym), but my doc screened for RA and I had a positive anti-CCP test, which is very specific for RA. I went down the rheumatology path and almost started methotrexate, when they did a repeat test which came back negative (my hand MRI was also negative). My symptoms stopped when I started wearing gloves at the gym, and they and I were happy to write this off as a testing anomaly. About 3 years later I got a stage IV CRC diagnosis.
Like you I did my digging and found the inverse correlation between the two, so was confused by that. It may just be a coincidence, but I do believe if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

How are other things in your life going? Are you guys all stuck in the house? Rationing toilet paper?
Hang in there.
