Heartbroken

Postby Kelism » Tue Dec 11, 2018 3:54 pm

I haven’t made many posts here but I have gained so much info from reading everyone else’s posts.
My mum peacefully passed away on December 7 at 3:38am. I sat holding her hand while she passed. I had been sleeping over at the hospital for the 5 days before as we had noticed her steady decline. I am so greatful for our amazing nurses keeping her very comfortable.
Hard to imagine we had been out and about on road trips and enjoying amazing food less than 2 months ago. She finished her treatment on October 30.
I look on the bright side that she’s once again with my dad. She had been heartbroken since he passed from kidney cancer 18 years ago.

Hey Kelism,

Oh, my heart sunk when I read this.

Your mother's story is similar to my husband, only we are just beginning.

Sometimes, I have so much hope, today I just feel like crying.

My heart hurts for you, she wasn't very old. Cancer isn't fair.
