I finished my treatment (12 rounds of chemo) nine years ago. I don't post much anymore but I do check in every week or so. I just wanted to share it with others, especially those just starting on this journey.

I was so scared when I was diagnosed. Would I survive this? Would I make five years? My kids were 12 and 9 years old and they are now 21 and 19. I wanted to be there for them, my biggest fear was leaving them.

I would spend ages on Dr Google trying to find out more information and looking for survival statistics. However, I think that it only heightened my anxiety.

This website helped me so much. There was always someone here to offer advice, encouragement, support, answer my questions and just to show understanding. I never felt alone with the wonderful people here and I am so grateful. Unfortunately, we have lost a lot of wonderful people over the years.

Best wishes to you all
