I haven't posted in quite a while, but wanted to give a short update. Nine years ago this afternoon I had a right hemicolectomy for stage 2 colon cancer. After the surgery, doctors determined in was grade 3. I had three rounds of chemo, then stopped after a specialist at Cleveland Clinic determined it wouldn't give me any added benefit due to my Lynch Syndrome. Today, I remain CANCER FREE! (Five months before my colon cancer diagnosis, I was diagnosed with a separate, distinct primary cancer of the uterus.) I haven't had a CT scan in four years and continue with my annual colonoscopies and endoscopies every three years (due to the Lynch diagnosis.) Life is good!!
