I just now discovered a place in Boston that provides lodging to people receiving cancer treatment who live greater than 40 miles away. I wish I had found this place sooner! It's near Dana Farber. https://www.cancer.org/treatment/suppor ... th-us.html

That sounds like a great option. It can be nice to sleep overnight and then go in fresh for multiple appointments or surgery.

Both MGH and Dana Farber/Brigham and Women's have lists of hotels that offer discounts for patients too. There's a hotel around the corner from DFCI and B&W that has a very nice rate for patients and I've used it twice for surgery. The traffic around these areas can be horrendous during the day and a shuttle can make the trip to the hospital easier.
