Yoga to Poop

Postby Phuong » Mon Nov 12, 2018 4:35 pm

Hello my fabulous family! The following guide was recently shared with us and you all know we are ALWAYS on the lookout for things that may help with constipation. Some of this looks like fun, and some of it looks like it might require a bit more coordination. So find your level and I hope it helps!

I was born constipated and it worsened after my colon resection. About a year ago my doctor told me a study had been done on using Miralax daily and it caused no problems (other that gas / bloating but you adjust dose) except in people in kidney failure even after the 7 year study.

He gives his daughter half a dose daily in her milk and she has no idea. I started off with a full dose daily six days a week and after about 7 months began to lower to half a dose with none on Sunday due to church. I've even used 1/3rd dose on some days depending on the day before. Half a dose keeps me daily with NO straining at all!

Not only have I not been constipated again, but my hemorrhoids went away!

Just FYI.
Stage III cc surgery 1/7/09. 12 tx FOLFOX
Stage IV PET = 1.5cm liver met. HR 4/11/12

14 years since dx and 11 years post liver resection.
Pronounced CURED and discharged by onc

I do a few Yoga poses regularly (Warrior I, II, Tree Pose, Child's Pose, Plank, Side Plank) and a few additional ones when I have the time. Sometimes pain from the reversal, though, limit what I can do.

Good to know. I'll share the feedback so that they can consider adding adjustments.
