I had a stage 2 diagnosis in the sigmoid, my only problem was I also had a stage 2 diagnosis in the rectum ? I got through both and have been NED for 6 years ! NED , no evidence of disease !
Good luck and follow protocol .

That is good to hear. I am still in the dark about what I have been diagnosed with. I took a look at my medical records online and they indicate that I have rectal cancer, not colon. Or the mass is located in the rectum. It is looking like I am stage 3, but will find out an exact staging, hopefully on Thursday in my meeting with the surgeon. It kind of makes sense though for it to be rectal cancer as I am looking over typical treatment for it and the Doctor who did the colonoscopy told me that I would probably do a round of chemo and radiation before surgery. Ready to get this show on the road...

11/12/19- Scan NED

Oft times your GI has seen it all. If you were told there would be possible radiation, he saw it in the rectum ! Radiation can only be done in a stable environment, the sigmoid or other parts of the colon move way to much for this procedure . I had excessive chemo, as since I had 2 tumors, one could be treated with folfox, while the other could be treated with radiation at the same time . How did your appointment go ?
