I had a very hard time with the prep...3 bottles of magnisium citrate....the 3rd one had me throwing up profusely. :( My colon wasn't clean enough even though I did everything asked of me. I am rescheduled for next week...next they will have me try a malax Gatorade solution. Hope that works.

Oh no. Sorry you had to go through that for nothing. Here's what I do. Look up "low residue diet" on Google. The day before the prep I eat items from that. The catch is that I eat much less than I normally would. I have a glass of milk or yogurt when I get hungry during the day. Maybe a creamy peanut butter and honey sandwich on white bread for dinner. The next day when you do your prep you have so much less to flush out of your body. It sucks but it has worked really well for me.
I'm just a dude who still can't believe he had a resection and went through chemo (currently 13 years NED). Is this real life?

Thanks guys. It still has not happened. The crazy thing is I do get everything swallowed, but its about 30 minutes after that I start vomiting. I did a CLEAR liquid diet for 24 hours before and a soft foods diet 48 hours before the procedure. I don't know what gives. Anyway I am rescheduled AGAIN for after the holidays. If it's failed again I may ask for a referral to a genetic specialist and try that avenue. Insurance has me nervous now too...because it now says it is going to cover this as a diagnostic/surgical procedure whereas before it was just going to be investigative. This is after doctor decided to look at CT scan. Can you guys answer me something? Two lesions on adjacent colon wall... One on descending distal and one on descending colon that are 7mm in one and. Somewhere between 1.7 to 2.8 cm (I can't remember which as there is also a cyst on my ovary) that are said to "maybe" or "possibly" be from a previous tortion. Like does that mean that that is all it is or are they just like guessing at it, but it could be something more? Does anyone know? Trying not to worry. Also trying to figure out my family history...VERY difficult. My Dad was adopted by his Father (his Mother was his biological Mother though). We did ancestry and found his biological Dad (my Dad passed away. I just continued his started search)...anyway....we found his biological Father but know nothing beyond him. He nor his son will contact us back. A likely 3rd cousin did contact me and said He Was adopted himself so even the surname doesn't match the bloodline and we are at a standstill because she only knows of him. It is highly possible they are/were part of a subculture who does not indulge in modern technology or electricity called amish. So...yep Very difficult...but a fun lil adventure none the less.
