Has anyone on this board done genome testing for compatibility with Avastin and/ or Cetuximab and come up with a negative for both?
I am still waiting on the results as tested on my tumor. However, I have my raw data file from 23 and me, and ran it through a membership with selfdecode.com (which cross-references your file with studies) and got scary results against both of them.
Specifically, regarding the IGF1 Gene,
I have rs 6220, genotype AA, which is associated with "shorter overall survival in Metastatic CRC treated with Avastin (Bevacizumab)
I have rs 2946834, GG linked to IGF1, which is associated "with resistance to the drug Cetuximab"
So, question #1- Is this the same thing as genomic testing of the tumor itself or am I way out in left field?
If it is the same, and these drugs can't be added to my FOLFOX +Oxi routine to fight my liver Mets, how far does this set me back? With 6 Mets, (3 left, 3 right), surgery is not yet off the table. Can that, and the standard regime save me?
