obturator lymph node metastasis?

Postby Mercy110 » Thu Oct 18, 2018 11:25 pm

Mum has just done a CT last week and result received today. Nothing very significant except her lung mets increased in number and size, and obturator lymph node metastasis.

So the question is what is obturator lymph node metastasis and are there any methods eliminating or destroying it? Anyone with similar experience can help or say something about this? Mums CEA is increasing stably which concerns us very much. She is not showing any symptoms temporarily and the hospital already told us Keytrida is not a standard treatment. We are in Hong Kong. Please help. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

So sorry for what you are going through. From my understanding those are external iliac nodes I believe. Are you getting care in Hong Kong? I don’t know much about removal of these nodes at reoccurrence but I do know it’s standard to surgically remove these in Japan and some doctors in the US are doing it as well. Prayers for you!
