Hello Guys! Need your advice here

Postby Miguel » Mon Oct 15, 2018 6:49 pm

Hello!

I am a 32 year old male from the Philippines and was worried hell because of ONE INCIDENT of rectal bleeding (bright red blood) about 20 months ago (December 26, 2016 - before my wedding). This happened after a long night of drinking beer with friends.

Fast forward to now - I do not have any rectal bleeding for 20 months and the incident did not happen again.

I have no any other symptoms = no pains, no bleeding, no weight loss etc. I go to the gym and workout for about 2-3 hours a day for 3-5 times a week.

My stool are mostly Type 6 mushy stools (not all liquid and haven't been constipated for as long as I remember) and I go once a day. I also want to point out that I drink a couple of beers everyday just to relax myself after working.

Sometimes, I do have pencil like stools specially when I force myself to poo. And I also have a feeling that I want to poo but takes long (started just a few days ago due to reading colon cancer experiences)

Please give me some advice, I am just worried because my grandmother (died) and uncle (recently) were both diagnosed with Colon Cancer at age 60+.

Thank you so much for the help!

Mike

We are not doctors. We are colon cancer survivors or loved ones of survivors. We cannot speculate on your situation. If you are concerned about your stools, you should see a doctor. Good luck.

It doesn't sound anything too concerning. But since you have a family history of colon cancer you should get checked for your own piece of mind.
Good luck to you.

When you see your DR, be sure to stress the family history of colon cancer. Really, the best way to find out is through a colonoscopy. You might just have a polyp that needs to be removed. Then keep up with the schedule for continued colonoscopies. If it is something more serious, the earlier you are diagnosed and start treatment, that is good for you.

Chances are you are okay, butt anytime you have blood coming from your rectal, it should be checked out. You need a colonoscopy. And yes, let your Dr know colon cancer does run in your family.

Good luck, let us know how it goes,
