Question about biopsy result

Hi, I'm 29 and I did an colonoscopy last month and removed a small polyp. I just received the biopsy results showing it's a benign mucosal polyp and the nurse told me i don't need a follow up, and i also don't need to repeat the colonoscopy in the future. I try to understand this type of polyp better(I know there are Inflammatory, hyperplastic and Adenomatous), but i cannot find any information related with the "mucosal polyp", which confused me a lot. I wonder if anyone here can provide some knowledge about this type of polyp and does it has any chance to become cancer? Thanks a lot!

We are not doctors. You need to ask this question to your doctor. Best of luck.

I'm not sure they meant there was no need for a colonoscopy for the rest of your life...or am I reading that incorrectly?
