Miralax and Sennakot to keep things moving was the best thing for me prior to chemo/radiation, it made going more often and definitely on the very loose side. That kept the pain of being blocked or spending too much time in pain at bay. Assuming hes having the gut type pain a heating pad also helped a lot.
The pain introduced from Rad/Chemo was a whole different beast, I kept up the Miralax/Sennakot & heating pad but was also prescribed suppositories that helped bring down some of the issues.
