Back pain?

Postby Mohrfamily » Thu Sep 27, 2018 10:11 am

Lately DH has been feeling some back pain he said it radiates his whole spine... Neck to tailbone mostly when he sits or lays down for 5-10 minutes before it goes away. Usually only lasts a couple days after his chemo. This week he said it traveled down his legs to the point of weakness, the pain made it hard to catch his breath a couple times to which I said get your Tylenol 3 like now. He hates having to take anything as it is.

Has anyone had similar pain like this? Like I said it's about 3 days after his pump comes off and only last 2 or 3 days

Colonoscopy/endoscopy/port place 5/29

3/2019 PET scan shows greater than 6-7 liver mets largest measuring 3x3 cm. No growth nothing new.
8/15/19 largest liver lesion 1.9x2.1
9/16/2019 OSU to proceed with surgery implant HAI and colon resection

Is he getting a Neulasta shot when the pump comes off? I did, in fact I'm still using it due to low WBC as a result of massive amounts of antibiotics I'm taking, and it makes my back and thighs hurt like mad for a few days. To the point I can't sleep.

No his counts have all stayed pretty normal during chemo I haven't heard about him getting any additional shot at his port flush.

Ask your onc about taking 2 Aleve and 1 Claritin on the day of the shot AND the day after. You might find tremendous pain relief if Neulasta is the cause.
