Therapist in NYC?

Postby Natasha25 » Tue Sep 25, 2018 10:42 am

Hi,
I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in April 2018 and underwent major surgery (LAR) and a temporary ileostomy, which was recently reversed.
I was out on disability for 7 weeks, returned to work briefly, then had more surgery and was out for another 5 weeks.
I am doing better, but I am thinking about talking to a therapist to process being a cancer survivor. I wondered if anyone knew of a good therapist - who has worked with cancer survivors or survived cancer himself or herself - in New York City.
Thank you so much,
Natasha

The hospital where your surgery was done or where you get chemo should be able to recommend someone.
