Rectal bleeding 7 months after a clear colonoscopy

22 m here. Last December, while having a bowel movement, blood poured out of my anus and stained the bowl, also had a lot of blood on the toilet paper. Went to the doc, had a per rectum which didn't find anything, waited for a colonoscopy and had it done in February 2018. It came out clear besides one small benign polyp which was extracted. Anyway, after having a clear colonoscopy I stopped paying attention to my stools and toilet paper and just kept living life. However today, I accidentally looked in the bowl when it was flushing and thought that I saw some blood on the paper. So I sat down, wiped again, and there was quite a lot of blood on the toilet paper, and it kept bleeding for about 5 minutes, if I strained harder, the more blood would come out. It was bright red and painless bleeding, clearly lower in my GI tract. Now I'm quite stressed and considering three possibilities:

1) Colorectal cancer/anal cancer was missed on the colonoscopy
2) New cancer formed between my colonoscopy and today.
3) An internal hemorrhoid formed between my colonoscopy and today.

Any insight please?

I find it hard to believe that cancer could form that fast, since February! I thinking the most realistic cause is probably a hemorrhoid. This is of course with the assumption that you had a "good" colonoscopy. Never the less, I would call the doc and get things checked out.

Thanks. From what I've read, my symptoms resemble a burst internal hemmorhoid, however I just can't seem to relax about it. My age(22), a clear colonoscopy not so long ago and absence of other symptoms rather exclude cancer. I mean, when I'm looking at the statistics, it's really extremely rare to get crc in my age, not to mention a clear colonoscopy

However, I still can't relax :(

C RC is a slow growing disease: that is why clean repeat colonoscopies are scheduled at 5 & 10 years intervals.
If you look through a 15/20 minutes long video of a colonoscopy and your colon looks ample, wide and clean. Missing something is practically impossible. (even I could see the minuscule polyps)
Now, speaking of my own experience: I am absolutely convinced that colonoscopies can cause hemorrhoids. I just had my sixth colonoscopy in as many years plus a colectomy which also stresses the rectal/anal area. In the reports of the first two colonoscopies, it is clearly spelled out that there was no evidence of hemorrhoids. The following four reports describe increasing evidence of hemorrhoids.

Hope this helps some
the best

Eating a lot of spicy food can cause inflammation and bleeding when pooping just as you described. If you do not eat spicy food and your exhibiting this issue then you should see a doctor.
