Sorry to get back to you just now. Stu, I really hope you managed to get your scan read from the hospital? That alone must be pretty frustrating kOn top of what you're going through!)
Martd, your story is most incredible and I wish you many many years of prosperity and hope we can aspire to a story like yours. Thank you for reaching out.
Our oncologist is the best in our area (we live in a relatively small town) and is a very good friend of my mum's brother, so we have the privilege of having a little extra time with him and my mum likes him a lot - he's a very supportive, "no need to panic" kind of guy, which is just what she needs. I just wish he wasn't sometimes misplacing paperwork! After our first appointment he gave us back our paperwork from the hospital and when we were home we saw a piece of paper that mentioned the cancer was... Everywhere! We freaked out for a good minute then checked it carefully... It was another patient.
So yeah.... I'll want to read the printout of my mum's scan and check that the patients name is correct!
All the best to you both
