Hey there,

Easiest surgery he has done to date! Recovery was easy, breezy. Just try and stay positive as much as you can and don't read the statistics. Everyone is different.

Good luck and hugs to you.

Dear Crazylife, YES sad to say that the met to my brain was about the same size as your husbands. The neurologists insisted on removing it ASAP, as soon as an A team could be scheduled. Discovered on Monday and removed on Friday. The surgery went well; I was talking and thinking normal upon waking up. 4 hours after surgery I was walking.

No pain. Seemingly no permanent affects. I can recall memories from throughout the years. My wife took weeks off work to assure that I would take it easy, since I felt normal. I did limit my activities; wouldn’t even walk the dog. My family would kill me if I fell and cracked my skull after successfull surgery! They did 1 dose of radiation which was highly targeted and dosed.

Now I am treating the Mets on my lungs with Folfiri. [all of this is weird since colon cancer isn’t known to metastasize like this - after 10 years]

Praying all goes as well for you all.
