NIH trial update .. my T cells are growing!!

Postby teri3 » Tue Aug 07, 2018 6:55 pm

I got some exciting news today from NIH after 3 months on pins and needles...my cells are growing! They are having me come in August 16th for another check in to see how I'm doing, with a possible start of the TIL trial the end of September.
I also got more good news my lung mets have shrunk or are stable after 3 months on FOLFIRI +Avistan. A good day all around.

@ DH2Sleen I want to.thank you and Celine for directing me this way. When I was diagnosed stage4 you and Celine encouraged me go for trials, this was before Celine went into the TIL trial. I listened and found and
amazing oncologist who was a fellow at NIH and she hooked me up.
Thank you for the encouragement and here's hoping I at least have some response.

Thanks everybody for the good wishes. They are starting testing for the reactivity this week I believe. They seemed pretty positive do I'm taking that as a good sign. I know I'm not in the clear yet but it's a start. :)
