THIS forum is unique
BTDT on many different forums which I have also Mod'd

THIS FORUM IS UNIQUE = WORD !

I really can't say why except this forum IS ... the people on the forum

We always have an exceptionally well informed, inclusive, pro-active and supportive group
We always seem to be able to form a "community" in friendship and understanding
We always have each others' backs regardless of the situation

We always DO ... share and care about each other

Unique on the internet for cancer support forums ?

There is NO place like the ColonTalk forum on the Colon Club

trust me I have been around and only "live" HERE

Love Peace and Harmony

AND ... upon even further reflection
IMO anyway

there are times I just want to get down here and
CONNECT

not necessarily with all the nitty gritty details ... BUTT

just connect with a homie who knows, where we all are
... If that makes any sense

People make it real and if there is ANYWHERE on the 'net where it is REAL

it is here

like right here, right now
really nothing to say BUTT I know folks here
will GET IT

just need a place to talk, share and care

Hey,
Just saw this. As many of you know, I was in Philly watching my son get married. Still, this forum is truly never far from my heart.
CRguy....wonderful sentiments.

This forum changes, evolves and new people come and go.
There are new personalities, new problems etc but it basically it is all the same.
It's a group of people coming together....all of us who have had or known someone who has had colorectal cancer.

Sometimes it is hard not to see the same old 'faces'.....many have just moved on. Moved on to live their own 'new' lives...
they don't want to dwell any longer on the cancer journey and who can blame them?
Then, though, there are those who have passed.....and those hurt. Who would have ever thought that
one could really become 'friends' with another person you have never met?

It dawned on me the other day that one of our old mods, Eric (brownbagger) passed away a year ago. Has it really been that long?
For those of us who have been around this board for some time, we can tell you stories about so many people and how they have
touched our lives.
For those of you relatively new to this board.....reach out to someone else.....get to know them....on and off the board. You will be
surprised at who is out there....just waiting to connect with you.

I will forever consider Terry, PamSue, Belle and Ashlee (among others) to be extremely special people who I am honored to have had the privilege
to know......and to spend time with. Where else can you just meet someone that special????

Reach out.....share your story.....we're here for you.
