I saw the weirdest thing today...

Postby mobrouser » Mon Jul 30, 2018 3:37 pm

I saw the weirdest thing today.

This morning on the drive to work, stopped at a stop light a truck passed in front of me. One of those trucks with the tank behind the cab to hold the waste from pumping out septic tanks or portable toilets.

The tank was painted pink and the truck cab had the pink breast cancer ribbons on it. I was flabbergasted. Really? A sh*t wagon is promoting breast cancer awareness? I couldn’t take a picture of it as I was driving and I totally missed the name of the company but you betcha if I had I would have been on the phone asking the owner WTF? You make your living off of sh*t, couldn’t you at least promote colorectal cancer awareness?

So that’s my mini rant for the day…

Haha....
I see your point.
Although the vehicle use is closer related to bowel cancer, who knows? The driver or some family-friend of the driver probably suffered through that ordeal.

Interesting - Only now do I notice every 'cancer society' or cancer related item in the community. They are everywhere and for most of us here they are a bit like a '..purple heart..' for the battle and wounds we face. And it all means so much more now.
Aged 56 - I feel really young...
Colo-Rectal Cancer T2 N1 M0
March 2018 - Diagnosis
April-May 2018 Radiation+Chemo then a TIA (Minor Stroke). - Stopped Chemo.
August 27th-November 2018 - Surgery and long, long recovery
*Decided to live to 100 as I will get a telegram from Her Majesty the Queen when 100yrs old. I so, so want one.
Am a Salvation Army chap so I complete 'knee drill' (prayer) to the Commander in Chief often. For myself personally this helps me through.
