Excited about a root canal!

Postby AppleTree » Fri Jul 20, 2018 5:59 am

Yay! Finally, after months of chemo I got my root canal. A few months ago the tooth broke in half. My dentist offered to pull it when I got authorization from oncologist. She said no dental work at all during chemo. And my tooth was really hurting! I did not want my tooth pulled, so went to another dentist and she did the root canal and rebuilt the broken part of the tooth. No more pain there. I am so happy! How many people do you know who actually celebrate a root canal?

Wow, that's terrific! :D Hey, we need to take our victories where we find them. But what did you do for the pain all those months?!? Yikes! that must have been awful.

Where's a happy dance emoticon when you need one? I'm really happy for you!

I think I cracked a tooth (upper end molar) on an apple peel of all things and I'm looking forward to getting it capped. I understand being happy. Enjoy eating!

Tooth pain has a category of it's own for sure. Had my share of them, no fun, but still think I'd rather have a root canal than travel by plane. Especially the last airline where the seats killed my back both ways. Would have traded those flights for a root canal.
Anyway, glad you got your tooth taken care of.

Best Wishes, Chomp Away
