Hey, everyone.
I have never posted here before, and I hope I am not being insensitive or wrong I saying so, but I am so nervous. I am 22 years old, and have been experiencing very thin stools with no exceptions since May. Being so young, I was not familiar with colon cancer symptoms, but have recently become acquainted. I always feel the need to pass gas, and my left abdomen is always bloated and I experience localized pain in the left side. I'm terrified. I feel certain I have cancer, and that it's too late. Every time I go to the bathroom, I hope it looks normal, only to feel terrified when I notice it is still ribbon thin.
I just switched over to primary care after being with a pediatrician. They always dismissed my left side complaints and noises. I recently had a fit test that came back negative, but I have noticed some blood in the stool on occasion. I have an appointment with a gi nurse this Friday, and I'm terrified.
How do I handle this with grace? I want to be strong.
I'm sorry if this is wrong to post, again.
