Howdy

Postby Chilifilia » Thu Jul 12, 2018 11:39 am

Hello all, I've been following many threads on here since I was first diagnosed last Sept. I figured it was high time for me to register and start interacting. I am so appreciative of this community and the insights, compassion, and support shown in the face of such a formidable foe. I will be getting scanned today at MDA and will be finding the results tomorrow.

Welcome . I was diagnosed in September too, joined earlier as I had so many questions, needing support from survivor. Congrats on the CEA number coming down.

Thank you! Today was a good day. No new growth and it appears things are stable for now. My CEA went up a touch to 12, but I'm not overly concerned about it. Onward with more erbitux and 5fu.

Stable and no new growth” sounds like good words. :)
I have read that CEA can go up due to tumors die because of chemo, maybe that is what is happening for you?
Hoping your treatment will be effective!
