Janie passed away in Sept 2017

Postby Lydia666 » Sat Jul 07, 2018 9:30 pm

Just wanted to post about Janie, JJ2212, in case it's not known. She passed away last year in Sept
This is a message from her sister:

"I'm very sorry to tell you that Janie passed away on September 4th 2017. Her treatment stopped working in the fall of 2016 and she got sicker and sicker in 2017. She was diagnosed with brain mets on June 29th and she got weaker and weaker from that point on.

She went into the hospital on the last Tuesday of August and she passed away on Labor Day Monday. Me and my 2 sisters were with her 24 hours per day the whole time she was in the hospital. My dad came into town the morning she passed away.

I really believe that Janie finally let herself go once she heard from the doctor that the disease was progressing and there were no other possible treatments.

Janie and I shared our home for the past 22 years so losing her has been very hard. She gave us 4 and a half years after her cancer diagnosis and I will be forever grateful for that precious time spent with her."

I'm sorry for your loss.
What a beautiful message from her sister... that one can be grateful for the time that one has, although suffering and loss are so present.
Sending a lot of strength to her loved ones...
Ana
