Did anyone get so nervous before a colonoscopy they constipated themselves?

Thread topic pretty much sums it up.

I’ve got the full scope tomorrow and I’m literally scared crapless. I’ve not been constipated this entire time...

Hopefully the prep will work well and you'll be able to have your colonoscopy.*hugs* The prep is the worst part. They give you medication so you don't feel any pain or remember.

Thanks! Outside of the constipation and thinner stools today, I’ve been almost a symptomatic the past few weeks.

I’ve had a CT with IV contrast, abdominal ultrasound and loads of blood work which have all come back golden - so I don’t know that I have a ton of reason to be worried at 34.

You will be fine.
Haha, believe me your bowel will empty following the medication they give you.

The actual scope treatment is a breeze with the worst bit being the needle they put in. if you get to see the screen it is jolly interesting although you forget so much of what happened it is a bit like a dream. From what you describe all will show up fine. It will be great to know.

???? - I had a hassle most of my life where my tension inside (I get like that) causes an Irritable Bowel Syndrome and this causes a lot of misery and pain inside. My symptoms sound pretty similar to many of the threads you place here!? YUK - It is awful to live with. It took me a great deal of sorting out my lifestyle to calm things down. Actually for myself a nasty motorbike accident when young (almost a year in hospital fixing a smashed up leg) started my bowel hassles and any ongoing stress later in life would just set it off. Life is to be enjoyed.
