CBD OIL

Postby Trying » Sun Jun 24, 2018 9:08 pm

Has anyone used CBd oil along with Chemo for treatment. Im using in hopes of it assisting with tumor shrinkage and not just for coping with Chemo side effects. Just started few days ago. Any experience?

I have been using it since a few months after my diagnosis so about a year and a half. I make up my own capsules with high grade CBD oil and then THC oil that I get from my medical dispensary. I don't think it's done anything for my cancer (it came back stage IV three weeks after finishing 12 rounds of folfox) but I can honestly say that it has been invaluable in terms of reducing pain and helping me sleep. I don't have to take the anti nausea meds that caused constipation which is another bonus. Hope you find relief as well.

It was heavily recommended by a few of the nurses - I'm just so old that there's a stigma in my mind attached to it. I did check out the dispensaries in my area and that's about it. I don't think that I'd have any problems getting a prescription but I'm through Adjuvant chemo and I can deal with the neuropathy issues at their current levels.

I used CBD in conjunction with chemotherapy treatment, but not with the hopes of shrinking a tumor.
While limited evidence in the petri-dish seems to support the fact that CBD and THC both encourage apoptosis of cells including cancerous, I'd certainly not forego standard care.
From the reading I've done it seems that those stories of cure or tumor eradication used very heavy amounts of CBD/THC of 1000mg or more every day for 60-90 days.
My usage of CBD was usually around 50mg per day and THC was probably only around 5mg some nights when I wanted a solid sleep. I still do use CBD mostly for the powerful anti-inflammatory properties it has. Of course in my mind I'm also thinking about the anti-cancer properties too. It was invaluable to me during treatment as I never became nauseated with the exception of the week that I didn't use CBD. It also did quite well in minimizing bone pain from the granix shots.

I had a few nurses suggesting use prior to treatment as well and thankfully took to it.
With CBD the stigma has absolutely zero merit as the CBD extraction is completely non-psychoactive.
You won't feel any shift of consciousness with it. Of course THC is another matter and both are derived from the same plant.

Best of luck to you Trying. I hope you receive positive results with your experimentation.

You can order a high quality hemp-derived CBD oil directly from CWHemp without a prescription:
https://www.cwhemp.com.

I'm sure there are other places but CWHemp's Charlotte's Web oil was recommended to me because of the quality of the oil and I just stayed with them.

I tried 1000mg HEMP OIL (Manitoba) one morning and developed loose stools which kept me running to the bathroom for the remainder of the day. I may try it once more to see if this is my normal reaction to hemp. Nonetheless, when pot becomes legal in New York, which is supposed to be in about 2 months, I'll be trying it to see if it helps my bowel control. Currently, I have pretty good bowel control from following a diet which does not allow me to eat many foods I like.

I started using it as soon as I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago. Already had high end medical grade cbd since my wife uses it for her arthritis. I've noticed constipation is not nearly as bad and helps with stomach cramping and other pains. They made it legal in NC recently, in waiting for THC for edibles which I would like to try. But works well with no side effects since there's no THC in cbd.

I have my first appt with oncologist tomorrow to meet her and go through treatment plan.. I'm ready to start..

I just want to say thanks to those who have replied to this thread. So far my side effects aren't terrible, but on disconnect day and the day after I always feel pretty awful. Especially on disconnect day, I just want for the end of the day to get here so I can go to bed and maybe sleep through how lousy I feel. I don't get nausea exactly, but I spend a lot of the day thinking I might get nauseous, and yesterday I nearly gagged a few times on things when I didn't expect it, which was pretty alarming. I'm going to give CBD oil a try in the hopes that it might relieve some of this nonspecific "I feel really lousy but can't really point to a specific symptom" stuff.

I'll report back how it goes for me.

There is something called Rick Simpson CBD which someone suggested to me. I didnt use it but did use Charlotte's Web for pain after radiation. Used CBD cream on radiation burms, rich with shea and coconut butter(I make it). Also got a 20:1 tincture which I used after infusions to help with nausea in addition to drug from doctor. It is legal in California . I have not used it recreationally, never saw a plant in person till CA diagnosis. None of the things I used felt like anything.
