i am sorry that this gentleman has passed on.

I have a close friend (not a friend of a friend :) who has multiple myeloma - cancer of the blood. She has been working with her oncologist and a cancer specific naturopath since shortly after dx. She had a stem cell transplant and is on continuous chemo for treatment. But she also takes supplements (mistletoe, mushroom? something, and others). She and her oncologist have seen the effects of these on her bloodwork over the last 2 years. When she runs out of supplements her blood markers tend to go up and when she resumes they go back down. Unfortunately, they have slowly trended up over the past 2 years but since there is no cure for her cancer she appreciates anything that adds years to her prognosis.

I myself haven’t visited this naturopath as she is a 9 hour drive but I definitely have a more open mind to the possibility of adding supplemental treatments.
