OT- My dog Harlee has passed away

Postby Lee » Sun Jun 03, 2018 3:51 pm

It is with a very heavy heart, my dog, Harlee, has passed away. She passed in her sleep sometime Friday night Saturday morning. She was 13 yrs old. She had recently been diagnosed with a lung fibrosis, which seems to be a medical problem in Westie's, butt she still had quality of life. She was eating and active on Friday, I suspect her heart gave out in her sleep. With the heat about ready to kick in here, this probably was a blessing in disguise. Butt it does not change the fact . . .

Harlee, I love you and I will miss you.

Lee:
I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your dear Westie, Harley. My eyes are welling up thinking of you.

The loss of a fur-baby can mean the loss of an integral member of the family. Especially when coping with a serious illness, pets provide a unique bond and an indelible source of companionship and comfort.

I lost my little tea-cup Maltese, Molly, this past December. I felt as though a part of me was amputated and missing.

Harley’s paw print will remain with your heart, always. Know that those of us here with pets understand the deep loss that you feel. Sending you hugs,
Karen

Sorry to hear that Lee.
I have always had a pet dog around and know how they are not just 'pets' but part of the family. And a pet around is just such a comfort, socially and mentally during a time of bad health.

I'm so sorry to hear that .... I remember I was weeping for weeks after my 16-yo Maltese passed away. Pets have the purest heart full of love and care.

Lee, The loss of your beloved Harlee sure resonates w/me. Chloe is 15; I dread the day. I can't imagine finding my furbaby deceased, but also making the decision to put her down w/b too tough for me. One I hope I never have to make. Even though they "outage" us, they're always our babies.
Sending my condolences to you.
